NEW 2011 Jeep Wrangler

You could already get the JK with painted fender flares (Sahara model) instead of black plastic. For 2011 you can get a matching painted hardtop too. Although it's rumored to be only available on the Sahara model. It's not a new idea or anything, several paint shops have done it and even Mopar Underground showcased a painted top JK in Moab, Utah in early 2007.
These are the spy shots of the painted-top 2011 Wrangler Sahara and Sahara Unlimited that showed up on toledoblade.com.

So what's the point? Well, with that in mind, perhaps we should be taking a look at the other small changes we've seen show up in the last few years in Moab to get an idea about what's in store for the future. For example, I'll wager we'll see a real strippy Wrangler in the next couple years. And that strippy Wrangler may not even have carpet. I'll bet it will have a bedliner material (representatives admitted to being able to apply it at the Jeep factory now). I'd expect to see the bedliner material available in Ram pickup truck beds too. And who knows, maybe the strippy Jeep Wrangler will actually be a utility pickup. That way the company could save thousands of dollars by not having to design new interior parts for another Wrangler derivative. It would certainly make for a less expensive test model to see if people really wanted a truck. We'll see...
